Astro Scout 

Astro Scout is a series of graphic novels written & illustrated by Marketa McCarthy   

Astro Scout is a story of a female dog, Scout, who wants to be an astronaut and fly to space.

While she waits for a call from NASA, she introduces the readers to the universe.

We follow Scout and her friends on their adventures filled with laughs, danger, and surprises. These adventures blend with stories Scout tells us about the universe.

In a simple language we learn about the history of the universe, stars, planets, galaxies, and black holes. We discover what the universe is made of, how atoms form, and that most of the universe consists of dark matter and dark energy we do not know much about. We uncover the four fundamental forces ruling the universe. Then Scout takes us to another dimension as we learn about spacetime, the Theory of Relativity, wormholes and parallel universes.

The target audience for these graphic novels are children from the age of 8 and over who are trying to make sense of what they see and wonder about the universe.
